Penguin movie review : A prime video release (SPOILER ALERT)

Penguin a movie written & Directed  by Eshwar Karthik who is also known as V1 murder case director. V1 murder case is also is a crime thriller as penguin movie, penguin movie release in only on prime video on June 19th it is only first which is got released on this pandemic so director thought everybody is at home instead of he waiting for movie release on theatre so he decided to release on web so he choose the Amazon prime video which is also India's most consumed streaming app. Eshwar Karthik had past experience in directing in crime thrillers like V1 murder case, so he narrates the penguin story   in understandable way to audience.

Penguin story

Penguin is a story between a Mother called Rhythm (Keerthy Suresh) and his missing son Ajay. Movie starts with a dream of Rhythm(Keerthy Suresh)  in her dream a kid in walking in deal forest to near a statue with his dog and a man with umbrella, wearing a Charlie Chaplin mask and he kill the boy with an axe and walks into lake and suddenly disappears and that boy's dog is end of the lake and bark at killer  Rhythm (Keerthy Suresh) wakes up check her phone message she went to hospital because she is pregnant and doctor suggested her don't think too much of past don't go near that lake that gives you past memories but Rhythm (Keerthy Suresh) decided to go there and sit for a while as she sits there she reminds of her past six years ago that day when her son Ajay got  disappeared he was playing with his friends and suddenly he listens whistle in forest he search for sound where it is coming from and sees a Chaplin guy and took him away, police searches for year and didn't find any clues of him but they find a yellow rain suit with blood and they tell Rhythm (Keerthy Suresh) he was died but she didn't believe them and she think he is still alive after a year her husband Raghu get tired of her because she searching a dead son they got divorce and separated, but she keep searching for her son. After 3 -4 years a person asks to marry him,he says I still support you the way you are so Rhythm gets married to him.

While Rhythm (Keerthy Suresh) sitting at Lake she heard a sound a man fell of with blood she trying to talk with him he says " I saw the lost kid and face of killer take my phone there are some pictures of him" as he saying that killer appear near to them so she ran away from her try to unlock the phone but the fell of from her hands she ran away from him to near check post and gave the information about man so police says we take care of him you just calm down and sit, but she went to forest nd suddenly a boy comes front of her car and it is her missing son Ajay but he found with untouchable disorder , he can't talk to anyone so doctor suggest Rhythm (Keerthy Suresh) to share you love, so she share her love and affection to her, one day she founds out he can talk he is singing Rhymes at midnight and drawing some pictures on paper as she see him singing he stops singing Rhymes so she took his picture and take a look at them and show it doctor he says Ajay draw his pictures from his memory except on he draw a picture of killer standing at window so they decided the killer is coming every night to look ajay.

And Rhythm's ex-husband Raghu want to see his son so he calls to come a festival so he can see his son, so Rhythm took him to festival and feed him ice cream but Ajay is starring at someone in the back of Rhythm so she asks but he can't talk.

So Rhythm follows a person who is dressed black and took umbrella but finds out she is a different person not the killer, but she can see a Chaplin face starring at her suddenly Raghu came to her and asks to leave  but suddenly Ajay ran away from them because he got scared of killer. So Raghu want find the answer who is killer so he took Ajay to same place where he got found suddenly Ajay got acting weird and stabs in hand of Ragh's friend.

Second half

On the second half of movie Rhythm and her husband and Jay want to go out  but they find a women fell on the ground, the women feel of the ground was a mother of missing child so Rhythm husband is a doctor so he took her to hospital, so Rhythm want to go home but her dog finds some organs and needles in a waste across the street so dog finds a house with smell , But here comes the director twist of the movie the house they entered is a doctor which is the one who is treating Rhythm son Ajay. Rhythm wants search doctor house she asks a tea and start searching in doctor's house she finds out a secret room. She want to know the what's in the room so he asks doctor to take her dog out for a walk because she so tired and pregnant so doctor takes dog out for a walk she went to secret room  the room is full of blood and she finds out the body of person who she met at the lake and gave her the phone,also she finds out body of a girl she calls police and police arrest the doctor.

But doctor wants to talk with Rhythm (Keerthy Suresh) police refuses that but she want to find out why he kidnapped Ajay, but doctor wants to play a game with her. This is  the most exciting part of climax it creates tense in audience mind.

So the game was asking questions of each they can only one question at the time and they have answer honestly to the question if some says the answer as "I don't know " the game is over the begins doctor and Rhythm asks questions to the doctor why they kidnapped child he answers in return he need organs so he need to kill child brutally police stops the game because Rhythm was pregnant she can't take that but Rhythm want to play and find the answer so police gave her 10 mins times and some of photos of missing children in town ask him to did doctor kidnapped all the people so this ten mins part gives us tense in our heart as she is him

Showing pictures of missing child she shows picture of Ajay but doctor told her "No, I didn't kidnapped the Ajay" but game is based honesty so doctor gave answer was true but she asks who is it doctor says "your smart  think about it, look around you, change the angle of the way you looking at it"  as she thinks about it Ajay was missing so she went to a house where was the killer at but she didn't finds out killer was a lady and she is one of the cousins of Rhythm. Rhythm asks why did you that and she returns as they are growing together Rhythm was smart in school but her cousin was not good at study but she was good at other activities but her father is everytime comparing herself to Rhythm so she got no identity for her. So she turned out evil I her mind so she want take her child away from. Her for just one day but Rhythm was so sad so she hide Ajay for six years. She only kidnapped Ajay but the doctor copies her techniques and kills so many child brutally.

Review:

It is a good crime thriller also shows affection of. Mother and her child also how a normal person turn into evil by comparing themselves to others it makes them good to bad also the direction and cinematography was amazing director Eshwar Karthik narrates the movie smoothly without lag in story so  audience can understand the story. And the pre climax was amazing with the game between doctor and Rhythm (Keerthy Suresh) everybody can feel the tense
